Hello and welcome to discoroc.com. This is a website designed to tell you a bit about me and my family. Hope you enjoy looking at the website as much as I enjoyed making it :-) Please sign my guestbook at the bottom of this page. Well as from the photos you can probably tell that I have 2 border collies - Disco Diva & Samroc and a German Koolie X, Mini. Go to their individual pages to find out more about them. My dogs are a major part of my life and this website mainly concentrates on this. My circle of friends are all dog people, my hobbies are mainly dog sports and activities and my obsession is my dogs. I have met many people in my life from near and afar and many of these people have said to me I am so lucky to have found my passion in life, thanks to my dogs - I too hope they can find theirs and be as lucky as me……… |

There are many activities you can do with your dog. Some people like to compete in these events, some people like to just get out and have some quality time with their dog and others love the socializing with people with similar interests. Club activities include obedience, agility, herding, fly ball, Frisbee, tracking, retrieving and many more. There are more clubs around than you probably realize. If you are interested in starting an activity with your dog get onto Google and have a search of what’s in your area or contact your local council - they should be able to point you in the right direction of where to start looking, watch out though you might really enjoy it and become addicted like me :-) |

For those of you browsing this website and thinking about getting a dog please, please thing hard & fast about what you want before you choose your “pup” or dog. Please think about how much time you have for your potential dog! Also think about what you want in a dog and how much “spare” time you have in your own personal life. If you are indecisive about what you want or just want a dog for the family please make sure you pick the breed that will fit in your household. There are many shelters with unwanted dogs that are desperate for a home. People are under the impression that a rescue dog must have problems, there are too many dogs in these places that are unwanted because they no longer fit into the previous owners lifestyle. Could be they were cute and cuddly as a pup—then grew up to be a “pest” needing walked and trained. Or a minor problem like not socialized or toilet trained and this becomes too much of a hassle so getting rid of it is all a too easy option. Mini is a rescue dog and one of the sweetest and loving dogs I know. So if you are thinking of getting a dog remember there are hundreds and thousands out there in dire need of someone love and care for them.
